DOTOTHY NELL HAMMONS ROGERS

Dorothy Nell Hammons Rogers, 86, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, died at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Continue Care Hospital in Madisonville, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Brother Ed Rawlins officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Lyon County, Kentucky she was born on April 11, 1932 the daughter of the late Ernest Hammons and Lassie Flora Mitchell Hammons.

She was a secretary with Nashville Electric Service and a member of Highland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her sons: Michael A. (Karen) Rogers and Steven H. Rogers both of Hopkinsville, KY; her brother, Jerry Don (Lonnie) Hammons of Benton, LA; her sister, Bobby Escude’ of Shreveport, LA; her grandchildren, James Matthew Rogers and Stephanie Ann France and three great grandchildren.
