Obituary for William Marvin Joiner

William Marvin Joiner, 85, Morris Circle, died at 6:03 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 at his residence after a long illness.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home in Hopkinsville conducted by Rev. Terry Joiner with burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tony Long, Joe Joiner, Randy Joiner, Matt Hilton, Todd Grady and Jason Turner.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A native of Christian County born March 28, 1930, he was the son of Roy Wesley and Sonora “Dolly” Turner Joiner.

He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and had enjoyed many years driving for Renner Express before his retirement and subsequent job at Western State Hospital.

Survivors include his wife Frances S. Joiner, one daughter, Paulette Atkins, one granddaughter, Jill Atkins and her husband Jake Burgess, all of Hopkinsville, two brothers; Gene Joiner (Edith) and Daniel Joiner (Linda) and two sisters; Gustie Compton (Charles) and Alice Hancock, all of Christian County.
