Amy McKnight

Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer

Amy is a 2011 graduate of Mid-America College of Funeral Service with a Bachelor of Science Funeral Service degree and is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer at our firm.  She is the mother of two sons; Ross and Micah.

Albert Wyatt

Funeral Assistant

Albert is retired from the insurance business with over 38 years of service. He has one daughter, two stepdaughters, four grandchildren, three step granddaughters, one great-grandson and two step-great-granddaughters.

He assists with funerals, visitations and in providing our "Neighborly Services" to the families we serve. Albert will go to the airport in Nashville if you have immediate family members arriving to be picked up by our car and brought to your home.

Mike Thompson

Funeral Assistant

Michael, is retired from the car business after 29 years of service. He is married to Gail Thompson, formerly Gail Holt. They are the parents of Dawn, Shawn and Darren and two granddaughters, Sascha and Jolie, and one great-grandson. Michael belongs to Millbrooke Christian Church where he serves as an Elder.

Harold Wood

Funeral Assistant

Harold is a retired educator with 33 years of service, of which 24 years served in the Christian County Public School System as coach, teacher, and administrator. He is married to Ruth Ogden Wood.  They are the parents of Karen Morris of Hopkinsville, KY and Amy Wolaver of Smyrna, TN.  They have three granddaughters:  Karlee and Paige Morris of Hopkinsville, KY and Sara Ruth Wolaver of Smyrna, TN.  Harold and his family belong to the First Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon.

Greg Giltner

Funeral Assistant

Greg is the retired pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church and is currently enjoying his semi-retirement and his grandchildren.  He is married to Sandy and they have one son, Mark and two daughters; Michelle and Melissa and are blessed with six grandchildren.

Dan Cayce

Funeral Assistant

After being employed by Hopkinsville Milling Company for 43 years, Dan retired in January 2006. He and his wife Janice, are members of Concord Baptist Church and have been married for over 45 years. They are the parents of two children, Kelley Workman and Chris Cayce. They have four grandchildren, Spencer Workman, Preston Workman, Jordan Cayce and Sara Cayce.

Dan is the current president of the Christian - Trigg County Chapter of the League of Kentucky Sportsman, has been a part-time fishing guide on Kentucky and Barkley Lakes since 1977.

Dan joined the staff of Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in late August 2006. Dan assists with visitations and funerals. He will help in any way he can.

Stanley Polete

Funeral Assistant

Stan is retired from 27 years teaching at Hopkinsville High School and 5 years with the software company S.T.I. of Mobile Alabama.

He is married to Patsy Polete, formerly Patsy Killebrew. Stan and Patsy have 3 children, Sean, Jason, and Jennifer and they have 7 grandchildren.

Stan belongs to the Second Baptist Church in Hopkinsville.

Gwen Smith

Funeral Assistant

Gwen is retired from the Department of Corrections as the Recreation Director at Green River Correctional Complex.  She has one son, Ross, who is a student at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry.  Gwen is an active member of First United Methodist Church, where she serves on various committees.
